Jan 25 downtime & lag issues

For those who emailed me or contacted me on Facebook yesterday about the site not loading, thank you.  I was aware there was an issue but unfortunately I wasn't able to get the webhost's site to load either, so I couldn't get in and ask them what was up.  This morning however, they posted this announcement.  They are working on it and I'm confident it will all be ironed out shortly.

Announcement: New York Datacenter Severe Network Issues

To all customers,

As some customers are aware we have had some network issues this past week. We are experiencing major network issues which we have been trying to diagnose the cause. It appears to be possibly hardware related from one of the core switches/routers in the datacenter. It is causing high pings and high latency which is causing websites and teamspeak servers to be unusable at times. We have been working all night on this issue and we have had issues with our company website being unusable since it is on the same network.

Please be advised that response to emails and tickets may be delayed due to this network issue. We appreciate everyone's patience while we work on resolving this unexpected problem.

Site lag and other issues

You guys have probably noticed that the site is running kinda weird tonight (today?).  I had been hoping it was just me or my computer, but then started getting emails from people getting kicked off and pages not loading at all.  I did some checking and it's happening on other sites that I have hosted with the same company so I'm guessing there's something down between their servers and the rest of the 'net.

I have just finished putting in a support ticket and will pass along any updates I get.  I might not have a chance to get back until tomorrow late afternoon when I'm off work, but I will try to check when I go to lunch.  So, in the meantime, have patience and keep trying

De Kalb Relay for Life!

As so many of you know, we lost a dear friend Barb Maggio from Breast Cancer last April.  She was only 33yrs old.  As her group we raised over $12,000.00 for Breast Cancer.

Bev and I are signed up to join the team again this year.  In order to keep Barb's team going, we needed to sign up as Captains.  Of course I can't be the Captain as I am the Captain of Regap.  Would anyone want to join us to walk for Cancer in memory of Barb, Pat Teeder and June Cech?  We can have up to 15 people on a team.  You will get a t-shirt from the event if you raise $100.

Please reply to this post if you would like to become the Captain or just to join us for the Walk.

Kadees Kunene

Our Beautiful Kadees Kunene (Nene) has left us for the Bridge.  She was having trouble this morning.  Her face blew up in the last 2 weeks.  She still felt pretty good.  Her Dad stopped at McDonalds to get her a shake on the way to Dr Wahl's.  She LOVED Ice Cream, Starbucks Vanilla Bean (without the coffee, Terri brought her home one almost everyday) she Lived for that!!!  We will miss her pretty face and the way she wanted any and all food that we had.  She was something!!!  She LOVED life!!!  We only had her for 1 year and a month.  I hope she enjoyed us as much as we did her.  I know she will never be in pain again.  She has so many waiting to join her for a run at the Bridge.  WE LOVE YOU, our sweet girl.  Give the rest of the Gang BIG KISSES for Us!

GUESS WHO'S 14 YEARS YOUNG????

HAPPY 14TH BIRTHDAY TO OUR MOMMA CONGRESS AND HER SISTER, BETSY ROSS!!!!  AND MANY MORE!!!!

Their Birthday was on Saturday, the 6th.  Betsy lives with Joe (her racing owner).  I was so preoccupied that I forgot what day it was.  I'm a bad Mom.  Even though I didn't realize what the date was, she was treated to my steak.  Our Gorgeous, Congress has given us 5 wonderful years, and more to come we hope!   Our Sweet Girl, we are so proud to have you with us.  I will never forget the first time I saw you.  You were considered a "Lady in Waiting" at the time.  You had just been brought home to Greymeadow to become a Momma.  I Loved You the first time I saw you.  Each time we visited the farm to pick up hounds, I made sure to give you most of my  time.  You were just so Happy!  When Mary said that we were getting you, I knew you had to be mine!  Thank You for your wonderful Manuverer!  He will always hold such a special place in my Heart.  He was Perfect as you are!  We Love You, Momma!!!
